Meeting was held between Agro Supply and Procurement Joint-Stock Company under the Ministry of Agriculture and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
In the meeting, the details of the training in South Korea for the Company's employees according to agreement between two agencies to further improve the supply and procurement system in our country were discussed, and preliminary information were provided to the participants.
The executive agency of the training program is Hankyong State University. In the 2 week training program, lectures will be given on the Food Supply and Procurement System in Korea, legislation on the supply and procurement of food products, use of general management system in the field of livestock, Applications of Food Supply and Procurement Systems in Gyeonggi, Functions of KASA (Korea Accreditation and Service Agency), Supply and Procurement of Food products on a military basis, Certification system in Gyeonggi, Food system concepts in schools, Food security in Korea by university professors.
Program participants will prepare a country report covering the current situation in our country, the challenges faced by the country in supply and procurement of food products. Within the framework of the cooperation, Korean specialists will share their experience and prepare proposals for further development of the supply and procurement system in Azerbaijan. In addition, participants of the training program will make a plan under the guidance of Korean professors. This plan will provide guidance to participants on how to identify problems that’s written in the country report and find alternative solutions to these problems.
Please be informed that the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICCA) office in Azerbaijan will organize a training program "Improving Food Supply and Procurement System in Azerbaijan (1st year)" from August 18 to August 31, 2019 in South Korea. 12 employees from relevant areas of the Agro Supply and Procurement OJSC will participate to this program.
