Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan
Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country Katsuya Watanabe.
 
Welcoming the guest, Minister Majnun Mammadov provided detailed information on state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan. He noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan is developing dynamically in all areas. Azerbaijan fully supports all initiatives aimed at strengthening economic and trade relations with Japan.
 
The meeting discussed issues such as strengthening cooperation and the legal and contractual framework in the agricultural sector, establishing a joint working group on agriculture, establishing relations with relevant Japanese universities for the purpose of exchanging experience in the field of advanced technologies, ensuring regular participation of specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture in trainings organized by the Japan International Cooperation System, studying Japanese experience in the field of creating biofarms and hydroponic cultivation, and cooperation in the field of agricultural research and innovation.
 
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country Katsuya Watanabe emphasized that his country is a friendly country with Azerbaijan and is interested in developing partnership in all areas. He noted the existence of great potential for expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, innovation and technology.
 
The parties expressed their mutual interest in the areas discussed. During the meeting, a wide exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
