Field trips to innovative farms organized within the framework of the “Caspian Agro Week” exhibition
Within the framework of the 19th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition, in accordance with the “Caspian Agro Week” concept, the Ministry of Agriculture, together with delegations from the Ministries of Agriculture of Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Georgia, organized field trips to advanced farms operating in our country.
 
The main purpose of the visits was to familiarize foreign delegations with modern production processes operating in the agricultural sector in our country.
 
As part of the field trips, the delegation first visited the Turkish Trade Center. The delegation participated in the opening of the “Barakat” restaurant, as well as the Uzbek dry food and dried fruit sales center.
 
The event was addressed by Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey İbrahim Yumaklı, and founder of the Turkish Trade Center Yılmaz Okuklu. The ministers noted that the member countries of the Turkic States Organization should effectively use the economic, agricultural potential, investment and existing transport infrastructure opportunities and mutually beneficial cooperation, and trade turnover between the countries should be increased.
 
Then, the guests visited the production facility of “Grow Group” LLC. During the visit, they were introduced to the company’s new generation greenhouse complex equipped with modern technologies. The guests were demonstrated the processes of monitoring products through intelligent management systems, climate control, irrigation and balanced supply of nutrients.
 
The delegation also visited the “Absheron Olive Garden” enterprise. Here, the delegation got acquainted with olive groves, processing areas and modern production infrastructure. During the visit, detailed information was provided on the stages of the product from collection to the final product, as well as innovative management and production approaches applied at the enterprise.
 
The participants of the visit also visited the production facility of “Grand Agro Invitro” LLC. The guests were given detailed information on the modern biotechnological methods applied at the enterprise, including the process of producing virus-free plant materials through cloning. It was noted that the enterprise, in addition to being one of the country's leading manufacturers in this field, also exports its products to foreign markets.
 
The meetings exchanged views on the development of agriculture and agro-industry, and it was emphasized that expanding the exchange of experience in this field is of great importance.
