The “III International Agrarian Innovation Forum” was held within the framework of the “Caspian Agro Week” exhibition
The “III International Agrarian Innovation Forum” was held within the framework of the “Caspian Agro Week” exhibition held at the Baku Expo Center on May 7, organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center.
 
The main goal of the forum was to expand the application of innovations in agriculture, promote digital solutions, integrate scientific research into practice, as well as strengthen effective cooperation between all participants in the agrarian ecosystem.
 
The event brought together participants as an important discussion platform for the application of innovative approaches in the agrarian sector, digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, and the expansion of public-private sector cooperation.
 
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova and Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov made speeches and emphasized that innovations in the agrarian sector, digitalization, and the application of modern technologies play an important role in the sustainable development of agriculture.
 
During the panel discussions held within the forum, a wide exchange of views was held on the issues of digitalization in the agricultural sector, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as cooperation opportunities between the state, private sector, vocational and higher education institutions in order to increase agricultural development in the regions.
 
The panel discussion on the topic of “Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in the Agricultural Sector” discussed innovative solutions in the direction of digital transformation in the agricultural sector, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, food security, environmental sustainability, water resources management and energy efficiency. The panel was moderated by Surkhay Novruzov, head of the “Artificial Intelligence in the Agricultural Sector” project. The discussions were attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency Zakiya Mustafayeva, and Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency Ilham Bayramli.
 
The second panel discussion held within the framework of the forum was dedicated to the topic “Cooperation opportunities between the state, private sector, vocational education institutions and higher education institutions in order to increase agrarian development in the regions”.
 
The panel discussion was moderated by Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center. The speakers of the discussions were Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School, Zafar Gurbanov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Ilgar Bayramli, Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education, Nijat Asadov, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, as well as Vusal Rustamov, Director of the “Innovations Center” LLC.
 
During the panel, the importance of strengthening cooperation between state agencies, the private sector, vocational education institutions and higher education institutions in accelerating agrarian development in the regions, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience, expanding joint initiatives and applying innovative approaches was emphasized.
