Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the President of the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers

A delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov is on a working visit to the Republic of Italy. As part of the visit, Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the President of the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (“FederUnacoma”) Mariateresa Maschio.

At the meeting, Minister Majnun Mammadov provided detailed information on the work carried out in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, towards the development of the agricultural sector. Noting that the agricultural sector in our country is exempt from all taxes, except for land tax, the Minister noted that Azerbaijan has strong state support mechanisms in the form of subsidies, loans and concessions for the development of agriculture. The meeting discussed the issue of holding a presentation of modern agricultural machinery in Azerbaijan by Italian supplier companies.

Mariateresa Maschio, President of the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (“FederUnacoma”), in turn, provided detailed information about the activities of the organization she represents. She noted that the Federation unites companies producing modern agricultural machinery and equipment. Mariateresa Maschio stressed their interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agricultural sector.

The meeting discussed the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural sector, in particular, the renewal of Azerbaijan's agricultural machinery fleet and increasing the level of mechanization, the prospects for establishing an Italian Agricultural Machinery Center in Azerbaijan, the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives aimed at promoting resource-saving technologies, and other issues of mutual interest.
